Brendan's Australian Tours Newsletter
Summer 2012
Welcome to the Summer newsletter of Brendan’s Australian Tours.
The 2011 year that has just ended has been a successful one for Brendan’s Australian Tours with many of our regular travellers again on tour, and through their word of mouth, extensive advertising and the holidaymaker’s grapevine; we had a number of their friends, acquaintances and new travellers with us as well.
2012 tours now available. The full list of tours for 2012 has now been updated on the website and I invite you to look at the list that will visit every state in Australia.
Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2012
First tour for the year is a tour with a real difference; I am conducting a 10-day coach camping tour to the incredible Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2012.
Every January the music lovers get together to create the fantastic experience called the Tamworth Country Music Festival and as 2012 is the 40th anniversary of the festival, it is going to be bigger and brighter than ever.
Tamworth in January usually has fantastic sunny days, it is very casual, it has star performers, Golden Guitars, the crowds are happy and it’s easygoing camaraderie. There are continuous shows with buskers on every corner and the variety of country music is endless. You can hear every sort of country music in at least 80 different venues from the giant Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre, to clubs, halls and of course, the outdoor stages in parks like the famous Coca Cola Concerts. Much of it is free and it is pure Australian.
From the moment we arrive in Tamworth and experience the music, you cease to become an observer and become part of the close family that gathers from the far corners of Australia.
Besides the music, the festival has many other attractions for visitors like us and these include the Big Golden Guitar, the country music wax museum and the hands of fame park of successful country music artists. Additionally fine artists, crafts, street performers and markets attract large crowds in Peel St.
The Country Music Cavalcade on the last Saturday of the festival attracts large crowds to Peel St, with many businesses and musicians participating with floats in the parade.
This tour will be over 10 fun filled days and the full itinerary is now available right here on the Tours and Prices page.

The NT & WA favourites are on offer again. The tours list for 2012 again includes the spectacular Northern Territory and Western Australian locations that those states are famous for. Darwin, The Kimberleys, Broome, Coral Bay, Perth and the South West Coast are just a small number of the tourist areas that make up our itineraries.
Pick up and return to home service. Brendan’s Australian Tours continues to offer his pick up and return to home service with all tours, and from the feedback received it has been extremely popular with our travellers. This service enables people to travel without the worries of meeting the coach and getting back home at the completion of the tour. Even if you are considering one of our fly in or fly out options, Brendan’s Australian Tours still offer the pickup and return to home service to and from the airport.
The 24 day Desert to the Sea tour in 2011 was an outstanding success with the Australian Outback Spectacular a standout. This year I have introduced two options on this tour for those who perhaps wish to tour less than the 24 days. An addition, which travellers can really look forward to on this tour, are a trip across to Hamilton Island and visit to the magical Fraser Island to see what this beautiful area has to offer. On this tour, and the Sydney and the Blue Mountains tour, the Sydney accommodation staying at a premium hotel right in the middle of Darling Harbour will be 5 star or better.
Take the time to look at this. Visitors to this site are invited to look at a new tour on my itinerary list for 2012. The Yarra Valley, Dandenongs and Melbourne tour over 6 days is packed with interesting, informative and exciting activities. Eureka Tower, Yarra River cruise, Melbourne Museum, Puffing Billy, Crown Casino, The Cuckoo Restaurant, MCG Tour and the Buxton Trout Farm are just some of the locations offered and being in mid spring the weather should be fantastic.
For 2012, the Bright in autumn tour is perfectly timed to see the marvellous change of tree colours for which Bright is really famous. Our visit to the welcoming Buckland Valley Alpaca Farm, the beautiful Kiewa Valley and historic Beechworth are just the tip of the iceberg on what is on offer.
The Canberra Floriade tour again will have us in the Nation’s Capital right at a time to see a world-class floral spectacular and certainly Australia’s most stunning flower display. With more than a million blooms, the tulips, irises, daffodils, hyacinths, violas, chrysanthemums, ranunculus and daisies among others are a real delight. But the tour is not all flowers, as we visit Cockington Green, Government House, The War Memorial plus most of the many important locations in Canberra.
Come visit Roxby Downs, Coober Pedy and Alice Springs in 2012 and so we have included a 10 day tour visiting some of Australian outback favourites in Roxby Downs, the opal capital Coober Pedy and the stunning Alice Springs. This is a great opportunity for travellers who have not seen this wonderful part of Australia to be part of a true outback experience.
The Flinders Ranges / Arkaroola Tour in 2012 has been extended by a day now giving us 8 days to enjoy and marvel at this breathtaking part of South Australia. With the tour departing in late October 2012 the weather and brilliant Flinders Ranges colours will be at their very best.
